Waldenwood At Milford

Waldenwood At Milford is an assisted living facility that was designed for Singh Development. Boss Engineering’s responsibilities included overall site planning, site engineering, planting design, and hardscape design for a three-story facility. The site was unique in that it contained a fen wetland bisecting the site which contained an old manufacturing facility. Because of the chemicals used in the building for degreasing and manufacturing, the site was categorized as a brown field. Other issues included high ground water, an enclosed drain crossing the site, and it bordered an active railroad track. Boss engineering and a environmental consultant worked with the Department of Environmental Quality to come up with a plan for the environmental cleanup and fen wetland mitigation.
