Decker Road Rehabilitation Project

Decker Road Rehabilitation Project

Boss Engineering provided design plans and specifications for the Decker Road Rehabilitation project which was let through MDOT. The project included 1.42 miles of hot mix asphalt crushing, shaping, and resurfacing; storm sewer drainage improvements; and concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk and ramps on Decker Road from West Maple Road to South Commerce Road in the City of Walled Lake, Oakland County. The construction took part in the summer of 2013 totaling $1.2 million with federal funding covering 81.85% of the cost. Upon completion of the Decker Road project, the Pontiac Trail project began in the fall of 2013. The first phase consisted of the milling and paving of the Pontiac Trail intersection with Decker Road and was completed in the Fall of 2013. The second phase will take place in the Spring of 2014 and will involve upgrading the sidewalks and pedestrian signalization at the intersection. The cost of the Pontiac Trail project was $220K and both of the projects were constructed by Cadillac Asphalt LLC.
